Nordic Swan Ecolabel - promoting sustainability at every step

With the goal of creating a sustainable society through sustainable consumerism, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel evaluates the environmental impact of products throughout their entire life cycle—from raw material selection, to the manufacturing process, straight through to the disposal of the product.

 

Asthma Allergy Nordic - the prestigious blue label honoring allergy awareness

The Asthma Allergy Nordic offers certification to products that pose the smallest possible risk of causing allergy. The main goal is to make it easier for those with contact allergies to find products that make everyday life better.

 

 

FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council - rewarding responsible use of forest products

FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide. FSC®-certified products are made from raw materials from well-managed forests and responsible sources. The label’s traceability and integrity are upheld through stringent control measures, and by choosing FSC®-certified products, you help take care of forests and the people and wildlife that call them home.

Ecocert COSMOS - the mark of eco-friendly cosmetics

Ecocert COSMOS, the first certification body for natural and certified organic cosmetics, ensures that products meet high eco-friendly standards, straight from ingredients to packaging. Only products with a minimum of 95% naturally sourced ingredients (by weight) are eligible for certification.

 

 

Dermatologically Tested - rewarding products that are gentle on skin

The Dermatologically Tested symbol guarantees that a product has been tested for potential skin reactions by an independent third party laboratory. This means that even people with sensitive skin can use our products.

 

 

EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel, also known as the EU Flower, is the official environmental label in Europe. Products with the EU Ecolabel meet stringent environmental requirements with regards to raw material, production, use, documentation and safety.

 

 

The CE Mark

The CE mark is found on many products traded in the European Economic Area. It signifies that the products have been assessed to meet high safety, health and environmental requirements. CE stands for Conformité Européenne (European Conformity) and is widely recognized worldwide.

 

 

The Vegan Trademark

The Vegan Trademark is the authentic international vegan standard and is managed by The Vegan Society. To achieve the Vegan Trademark, a product must comply with several criteria, including no ingredients of animal origins and no animal testing.

 

 

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

OEKO-TEX is an independent third party that tests and controls harmful substances in many consumer products. The certification ensures that a given product meets stringent requirements regarding ingredients, process chemicals, colors, traces, and additives. The labeling system has been around since 1992.

 

 

The EcoSun Pass

The EcoSun Pass is a tool used to evaluate the environmental impact of sunscreen products. To achieve the certification, the combination of sun filters in a product has to adhere specific parameters in a calculation to obtain minimal harm for the ocean environment. Sunscreens that earn the EcoSun Pass are reef-friendly, meaning they contain the minimal and most thoughtful amount of chemicals that can damage coral reefs and other marine life.

 

 

TUV OK biobased

TUV OK biobased is a third party certification given for packaging produced with more than 20% renewable raw materials. The number of stars on the logo refers to the biobased carbon content (BCC) class obtained. The Bambo Nature paper packaging is certified with 4 stars, meaning that it is produced with more than 80% BBC, which is the highest.

 

 

30 % Post-consumer recycled 

Our Bambo Nature diaper packaging consist of 30 % post-consumer recycled raw materials meaning that less virgin plastic is needed in manufacturing. The recycled materials originates from consumer household plastic-waste that is carefully cleaned and sorted by grade. Hereby, we reduce use of non-renewable resources by utilizing the recycling system in a meaningful way. 

 

 

ISO14001

ISO14001 certifies that the manufacturer of Bambo Nature diapers, ABENA Produktion A/S, has an environmental management system. The standard provides a framework for companies to minimize their negative impact on the environment. The certification is achieved by companies that choose to look their environmental impact ‘in the eyes’ and work actively to improve it.

 

 

ISO50001

The manufacturer of Bambo Nature diapers, ABENA Produktion A/S, is ISO50001 certified. The certification is a proof of our energy management system through which we actively work to reduce our overall energy use. Besides working on continuous energy optimization projects, we also monitor our energy use and efficiency and set annual targets for our energy performance.

 

 

SMETA

We are SMETA certified and comply with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Labor Organization conventions. SMETA is an auditable certification standard that encourages organizations to develop, maintain, and apply socially acceptable practices in their workplaces.
