Week 34

Week 34

You’re probably getting all the last things ready for your baby, including skin care products for the changing table and for bath time. So, what kind of products should you choose for your baby?

Baby’s first manicure

Around week 34 of your pregnancy, your baby is now the size of a pineapple 🍍 – that’s pretty crazy to think about, right? It seems like only yesterday that your baby was the size of a small peach.

Did you know that your baby is born with rather long (and sharp!) nails? It’s true, and you will probably have to trim them fairly soon after birth unless you would like some nice scratches down your face and chest. Those tiny little fingernails have probably reached the tips of your baby’s fingers here in week 34.

During week 34 of your pregnancy your baby will grow to measure around 44 centimeters from head to toe and weigh approximately 2550 grams.

No room for Mama

If your baby has dropped, you will probably feel like you can actually breathe again. As the baby drops into your pelvis, a lot of pressure is removed from your lungs and your stomach – so if you’ve suffered from heartburn during yourDaniel Schindler Berg pregnancy, you will probably feel some relief from that as well.

On the downside, your baby’s position starts to put more pressure on your bladder, and a well-placed little kick or punch can make you pee a little bit; it’s completely normal at this point in your pregnancy, no matter how rigorous you’ve been with your pelvic exercises. You can also start to feel some kicks upwards and into your ribs – doesn’t that just sound like a party?

It’s a skin care jungle out there

You’re probably getting all the last things ready for your baby, including skin care products for the changing table and for bath time. So, what kind of products should you choose for your baby?

The first step is to always look for gentle products that are perfume and paraben free as well as dermatologically tested. Look for few and effective ingredients; there’s no need to put all kinds of artificial nonsense on your baby’s soft, new skin.

The next step is to look for certifications. Take the time to research the claims and certifications on products, and look for real, authenticated third-party certifications to ensure that the product has actually been tested and examined by a neutral party. Certifications such as Asthma Allergy Nordic, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and Ecocert COSMOS conduct thorough third-party tests and assessments on products; then you can know for sure that the product lives up to the claims on the packaging.

Our Bambo Nature baby skin care products are a good choice for you and your baby. Our products are made in Denmark and developed according to the very high Nordic standards for baby products. You can also read more about our many certifications and credentials here.
