At the Bambo Nature production site in Denmark, hands are busy with testing and adjusting new paper diaper bags. Made from Swedish FSC™ (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper, the bag is made out of natural compostable materials and certified according to industry standards. The bag is coated in a biobased water-repellent to make it as durable as consumers are used to and paper, prints and colors are certified compostable. This means that consumers can either dispose of the bag in their private compost heap or recycle it with other paper waste.
“We wish to make it easy and convenient for parents to choose a disposable diaper that is not only completely safe for their little one, but also produced with consideration for the environment. And we are very proud to be one of the first to introduce a certified compostable diaper bag.” – Arne Terp-Nielsen, Managing Director of ABENA Production.
A safe and natural childhood
To meet the needs of tomorrow, we are constantly evaluating and improving our baby products and production methods. Being innovative, thinking outside the box and acting sustainable are central elements of our company DNA and our main goal has always been to design the most sustainable baby diaper. Not just to be at the forefront, but also to be able to offer parents the ultimate child care products. We are now one step closer to realizing that goal with a natural diaper bag that matches the eco-friendly diapers inside.
Ready. Set. Go.
We are really happy with this new innovative paper bag that is yet another proof of how we walk the sustainable talk. However, high quality is one of our most important product features, and therefore, we will continuously test, adjust, and evaluate the new bags to ensure that quality and performance are top-notch before formally introducing them to the market.
“We plan to launch the new compostable paper bag within the next six months – and we know that they will become a huge success.” – Arne Terp-Nielsen, Managing Director of ABENA Production.
